Entry for "CAPCOM Pro Tour 2024 SUPER PREMIER JAPAN", which is an opportunity to compete in "CAPCOM CUP 11", has begun!

JOG Inc. has announced the " KYO-Oh Presents JCG STREET FIGHTER 6 CAPCOM Pro Tour 2024 SUPER PREMIER JAPAN ", an official tournament for the fighting game "STREET FIGHTER 6". The event will be held on November 2, 2024. The event will be held offline on November 2 (Sat.) and 3 (Sun.), 2024, and the top two finishers will earn the right to participate in "CAPCOM CUP 11".

CAPCOM Pro Tour 2024 SUPER PREMIER JAPAN" is one of the offline tournaments of "CAPCOM Pro Tour 2024" held in 8 regions around the world. This is a PREMIER tournament held in Japan to compete for the right to participate in "CAPCOM CUP 11". This will be the first time since 2019 that an offline PREMIER tournament will be held in Japan, and we are sure that many fans have been looking forward to this event. In addition, this year's SUPER PREMIER event will be held as the top two finishers will earn the right to participate in the "CAPCOM CUP 11". The prize money for the 2024 CAPCOM CUP 11 championship will be $1 million, the same as last season.

The venue for the event will be Ryogoku Kokugikan. The Ryogoku Kokugikan is attracting a great deal of attention as it is the first time in about 30 years since the "Street Fighter II" series national championships that the event will be held at the Ryogoku Kokugikan. It has been 33 years since I directed a national tournament for "Street Fighter II" in 1991. I have been a driving force behind the fighting game boom. I am happy to see that "Street Fighter 6" is supported by an unprecedentedly wide range of players of all ages, and that the game is attracting an influx of players from a variety of genres, who are competing against each other. We are pleased to produce this tournament to encourage such momentum. My name is Kagezawa Junichi. Ever since I participated in the Gamestop Cup for "Street Fighter III" when I was in high school, I have been fascinated by tournaments and have been following Mr. Saruwatari's footsteps for the past 25 years. Now, with "Street Fighter 6," we are using the experience we gained from "Street Fighter III," "Street Fighter IV," and "Street Fighter V" to create the "Fighters Crossover", based on the experience gained from "Street Fighter III", "Street Fighter IV" and "Street Fighter V", we are holding official competitions and tournaments in about 30 locations throughout Japan. Thank you very much for your continued support. For the CAPCOM Pro Tour, I was the tournament director for the OFFLINE PREMIER event held at the Tokyo Game Show in 2016 and the tournament producer for the WORLD WARRIOR events in 2022 and 2023. I am very excited that the first offline PREMIER event will be held in Japan in five years, and that the final, CAPCOM CUP 11, will be held in my hometown, Ryogoku Kokugikan. In my role as tournament advisor, I hope to make this event a memorable one for not only the Japanese players, but also the international players visiting Japan, and the fans and community who came to the venue.
