"IGA CUP powered by GLOE" To Be Held in Takahagi City, Ibaraki Prefecture
While e-sports are being utilized throughout Japan for regional growth and local revitalization, Igarashi Sogyo Inc., a total engineering company in Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture, will hold its first e-sports event!
Igarashi Sogyo, which has been involved in music festivals such as Rock in Japan and Oktoberfest, aims to support young people and further revitalize the local area.
The event name is "IGA CUP powered by GLOE".
Looking ahead to EVO 2024 scheduled to be held in Las Vegas, USA, in July 2024, the fighting game Street Fighter 6 was adopted as the competition title, and GLOE Inc., which has been handling tournament operations and promotions for e-sports events since 2015, will cooperate.
On the day of the event, ACQUA (@acqua_db), a member of HIROSHIMA TEAM iXA, and Sasa (@SASA_tk74), who is a familiar face for play-by-play commentary at official tournaments, will participate and provide commentary.
An exhibition match between the winning team and ACQUA will also be held, so you cannot take your eyes off the action until the very end.
The tournament is a team competition with three people per team.
Participant entry has already started, but if applications reach the limit, a lottery will be held.
Please check the “IGA CUP powered by GLOE Official Website” for event details and the application form for entry.
