Igarashi Corporation, a total engineering company in Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture, will hold an e-sports event for the first time! Igara Sogyo, which has been involved in music festivals such as "Rock in Japan" and "Oktoberfest," aims to support young people and further revitalize the local community.

The event will be called "IGA CUP powered by GLOE" and will feature the fighting game "Street Fighter 6" in anticipation of "EVO 2024" scheduled to be held in July 2024 in Las M. Bisons, U.S. GLOE Corporation, which has been involved in tournament management and promotion of e-sports events since 2015, will cooperate with the event.

On the day of the event, professional eSports player ACQUA (@acqua_db ), a member of Hiroshima TEAM iXA, and eSports caster SASA (@SASA_tk74 ), a well-known play-by-play commentator for official competitions, will be on hand to provide commentary. An exhibition match between the winning team and ACQUA will also be held, so keep your eyes peeled until the very end.
