I went to a KURAND media-only tasting of new products!

もはや食べるリキュール?KURANDメディア限定新商品試飲会に行ってきたっ!
Event

Kurando, who always provides sake to the Saiga NAK editorial department, a gathering of sake lovers, invited us to participate in a media-only tasting of new products, as we did in the previous event! We were able to sample carefully selected sakes from the more than 30 new products released each month.

The lineup of this year's tasting!

KURAND Saiga NAK

We were able to sample the following 4 types of sakes.

  • Chocolate Pudding at 9pm (liqueur)
  • Forbidden Kuromitsu (liqueur)
  • Flower Bouquet (Rose Wine)
  • Kapibara Onsen (Rice Shochu)

Choco Pudding at 9 pm" is a liqueur from Nara Prefecture, priced at 1,490 yen (tax included) for 300 ml.

The table lamp on the table looks like a pudding and is very cute.

If you look inside the jar, you will find a solid part. By changing the number of times you shake the jar, you can change the texture. If you want to taste the pudding texture, shake less, and if you want a thicker texture, shake more. This time, we tasted one that had been shaken about 20 times. Rather than drinking it, it no longer feels like eating it. It has a sweetness, and you can drink (or eat) it like a dessert. The aftertaste is lightly alcoholic, so I would like to taste it at night. It would also be delicious poured over vanilla ice cream.

Forbidden Kur omitsu" is a liqueur from Saitama Prefecture, priced at 2,990 yen (tax included) for 500 ml.

Both the label and the contents are black, and the fact that the liquid seems to be dripping from the word "mitsu" is also intriguing and suspicious.

This time we tasted it straight and poured over vanilla ice cream. It has a rich, mild sweetness with a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. It has an alcohol content of 11%, but you can hardly feel the alcohol, so be careful not to drink too much. It is great with milk, shaved ice, agar, and other Japanese sweets. Even the melted part of the ice cream can be drunk without leaving any residue. The ingredients used are simple: glutinous rice (domestic), rice koji (domestic rice), shochu, and brown sugar.

Flower Bouquet

Flower Bouquet " is a rosé wine from Yamanashi Prefecture, priced at 3,990 yen (including tax) for 500 ml.

The label depicts beautiful flowers. The box is partially transparent, and the flowers in the bottle peek out from the transparent box to make it look like a bouquet, an elaborate design. It is a perfect gift for Mother's Day. It is also good to display it as a vase after drinking.

The color is a beautiful pink. The mouthfeel is dry, but it is easy to drink with a slightly sweet aftertaste. It is good as a food sake, as it can be easily paired with any dishes such as vegetables, meat, and fish.

Capybara Onsen

Kapibara On sen is a rice shochu from Kumamoto Prefecture, priced at 1,990 yen (tax included) for 720 ml.

It has a cute picture of a capybara taking a bath in a hot spring. If you look at the back of the label, you can see a picture of a capybara swimming.

We tasted the recommended soda. It is dry, very refreshing, and easy to drink. Since the brewing water is from a slightly alkaline hot spring, its ingredients are floating in the water. Not only is it delicious, but it is also one of the most health-conscious products we have seen.

Finally, I asked Mr. Toyama of the public relations department what sake he would recommend, and he answered, "Urafox! He answered, "Urakitsune! It was not included in this tasting, but I was curious. To my surprise, he said that he nails the label of his favorite sake every month. It was wonderful to see how she spares no effort in conveying the charm of sake! We had a chance to taste some of the unique sakes. Although Mother's Day has passed, it would be a good idea to send a flower bouquet or other gifts to your mother as a token of your appreciation for her daily life. The sake we tasted this time can be purchased at " Kurando ", so please try any of the products you are interested in!
