Held from Thursday, September 26 to Sunday, September 29, 2024, Japan's largest game festival, Tokyo Game Show 2024, had a LEVEL5 booth that offered playable demos of the latest titles, such as "Professor Layton and the New World of Steam," which allowed visitors to experience the unique world of each title.
Here is our report on the LEVEL5 booth!
LEVEL5 Booth Where You Can Experience the World of Each Title!
The LEVEL5 booth featured three areas:
- Professor Layton and the New World of Steam
- Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road
- FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time
And visitors could try out the demos while experiencing the world of each title.
In addition, there was a large main monitor that showed videos of various titles, including "DECAPOLICE," in addition to the three titles with dedicated areas.
Professor Layton and the New World of Steam Area
The "Professor Layton and the New World of Steam" area was surrounded by a steampunk cityscape with gears and other elements.
"Professor Layton and the New World of Steam" is a brand new title in the "Layton" series, which has sold over 18 million copies worldwide, and depicts a new adventure for Professor Layton and his assistant Luke.
The puzzles that appear in the game were developed by the University of Tokyo-born think tank "QuizKnock," and this title has the most puzzles in the series!
Many fans gathered at the demo area and experienced the new world of "Layton" while trying out demos, such as searching for coins using the Coin-finding Mode.
When the Saiga NAK editorial team went to the demo area, the line for the demo had a wait time of 80 minutes.
After finishing the demo, you could get a priority pass that shortened the waiting time, and the priority lane for people with that pass had a wait time of as much as 40 minutes!
As expected from a title that won the Future Division at the Japan Game Awards 2024.
FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time Area
The "FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time" area had a large dragon object and a wooden gate on display.
"FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time" is the latest title in the "FANTASY LIFE" series, and is a slow-life RPG for everyone that is set in the series' largest open world, the Ginormosia Continent.
At the demo area, visitors were able to freely explore the vast land of the Ginormosia Continent and enjoy it during their limited demo time.
Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road Area
The "Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road" area was designed to resemble a soccer stadium's spectator seats.
"Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road" is the latest title in the "Inazuma Eleven" series and is the fourth title, with a beta test demo currently available for free!
The beta test demo has already exceeded 2 million downloads, and with a beta test demo tournament being held, you can see the high expectations for this title.
In the demo, visitors could switch between "Player Mode" and the newly playable "Commander Mode" at any time and play a match against The Genesis.
The Saiga NAK editorial team also played the "Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road" demo and received a special "Raimon Junior High Uniform" fan!
The three titles that were available for a demo this time are scheduled to be released in 2025, so let's check the Professor Layton and the New World of Steam official website, FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time official website, and Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road official website for updates while we wait for their release!
