The Tokyo Game Show 2024 (TGS2024) was held from Thursday, September 26 to Sunday, September 29, 2024.
As always, the Saiga NAK editorial team covered the event in full force for all 4 days!
This time, we bring you a report from the booth of XREAL, the world leader in AR glasses!
XREAL booth showcases "XREAL Beam Pro 5G" and "XREAL Air 2"

Making its first appearance at Tokyo Game Show 2024, the XREAL booth featured hands-on experiences with the Android 14-based smartphone "XREAL Beam Pro 5G" equipped with NebulaOS, as well as the AR glasses "XREAL Air 2," which project a giant virtual screen right before your eyes.

The XREAL Air 2 series comes in three models: the standard, the “Pro,” and the “Ultra.”
At the booth, we had the chance to try out the "XREAL Air 2 Ultra" in an actual gaming session.

Fujii 4-dan (@MTNRFG) listens to the explanation while wearing the XREAL Air 2 Ultra.
Feels like we’ve seen him with glasses recently too...

“Whoa, amazing! There’s a display right in front of me!”
Saiga NAK“Even when I move my head, it follows along!”
Fujii 4-dan can’t help but grin.
The "XREAL Air 2 Ultra" supports mirroring from iPhone, Android, MacBook, Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Windows PCs, and other devices with USB-C DP or HDMI output.

“Whoa! I cloned! The gauge dropped!”
Featuring a Sony OLED microdisplay with a 52° field of view and 1920×1080 resolution per eye,
plus dimming functionality and two 3D environment sensors enhancing immersion,
Kiyoaki (@kiyoaki_gohan) could only exclaim pure game impressions.

“Wow! Super realistic! This is fun!”
In this demo setup, the virtual display followed head movements, allowing gaming in any posture without neck strain.
As usual, Kiyoaki-san couldn’t stop talking about “Black Myth: Wukong.”

When wearing the "XREAL Air 2 Ultra," you could see the lens interior but not the displayed content.
No risk of prying eyes—perfect for studying, cooking videos, or gaming freely!
Next-generation gaming with "XREAL Air 2 Ultra"

It’s been a while since the so-called VR revolution in gaming, and now it’s time for AR glasses!
Instead of investing in multiple expensive displays, AR glasses can enrich your gaming life from the start with virtual displays.
The "XREAL Air 2 Pro" retails for 61,980 yen (incl. tax), while the "XREAL Air 2 Ultra" costs 99,800 yen (incl. tax).
