The tournament format for the "VALORANT Challengers Japan 2023" is now available! Entry starts on Wednesday, December 21, 2022!

VALORANT, a tactical FPS that has become a well-known e-sports title, will finally open the VALORANT scene in Japan. The format of the " VALORANT Challengers Japan " tournament to be held under the auspices of RIAT Games, LLC, is now available for viewing. Entry for Split 1 of the tournament will open on December 21, 2022 (Wednesday).

The entry period for "VALORANT Challengers Japan" Split 1 will begin on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 and end on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. To be eligible to participate, players must be at least 16 years old as of the first day of the official competition, have a ranking of "Immortal" or higher at the time of registration or on the most recent ACT, and at least 3 of the starting roster must be residents of Japan. This is generally not a problem for Japanese nationals residing in Japan, but overseas applicants should keep this in mind.

Entries must be submitted via the application form which will be available on the official website of the VALORANT competition on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.

• Format: Double elimination tournament format, BO3
• Advancement conditions: Top 8 teams will advance to the Main Stage

Main Stage

• Number of participating teams: 8
• Format: Round Robin, BO3

Playoff

• Number of participating teams: 6
• Format: Variable tournament format, BO5
• Conditions for Advancement: Top 2 teams advance to Split2 Main Stage, 3rd-6th place teams advance to Split2 Advance Stage
