Fatal Fury: CotW New Character, Duck King, Joins the Roster on August 27! One of the Series' Most Unique Characters Finally Returns!

The second Season Pass 3 DLC character, Duck King, will join SNK Corporation's fighting game, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves (hereinafter Fatal Fury: CotW), on Thursday, August 27, 2026.
Ahead of his arrival, SNK released an official character reveal trailer.

Duck King is a classic character who has appeared since the very first entry in the Fatal Fury series.
Fusing breakdancing with martial arts into a signature style, he left a powerful impact on players, with SNK officially introducing him as one of the series' most unique characters.

In Fatal Fury: CotW, he has consistently made his presence felt, including appearing as an in-game NPC as a friend of Salvatore Ganacci.

Since his last appearance in THE KING OF FIGHTERS XI, Duck King had not been featured as a playable fighter.
Now, Duck King makes his triumphant return to the playable roster for the first time in 21 years, delivering a long-awaited revival worth dancing for.

Get down on it with South Town’s resident dancing king! Duck is South Town to the core; after all, he not only has a friendly rivalry with its hero Terry Bogard (after losing to him in his youth), but also a deep love for iconic hangout Pao Pao Café. Indeed, Pao Pao is where you’ll mostly find this old-school breaker, living it up like only he knows how: with fights, festivities, and tons of dance floor fever. When rhythmic royalty hits the stage, nothing can stay away or stop him—not even time itself!

Character Trailer Released!

SNK released the character trailer on its official YouTube channel in both Japanese and English.
The Japanese voice cast features Anri Katsu (@bigfatduck4), while the English voice cast features Cedric Williams.

In the promotional video, he lives up to his dancing king moniker with groovy, high-energy dance action.
His iconic super special move, Break Spiral, and classic voice line, "You are Angel Baby!", remain fully intact.

Furthermore, the BGM features a rearranged version of Duck King's classic theme song, Duck Dub Dub (Et Tu, Duck?), providing fantastic fan service for longtime Fatal Fury enthusiasts.

Duck King Stories Added to EOST MODE and ARCADE MODE!

SNK will also add dedicated storylines for Duck King to EOST MODE and ARCADE MODE.

RPG Mode, EOST MODE

Duck seeks revenge against Wolfgang Krauser, at whose hands he suffered a soul-crushing defeat years prior. The would-be emperor’s fall by Terry Bogard’s hand—and subsequent self-destruction—had all but eliminated the dancer’s chance of a rematch at the time; however, now that Krauser is back in South Town, he’s fair game. Revenge of the Duck—it’s time.

ARCADE MODE

Richard Meyer, owner of Pao Pao Café, reaches out to Duck with grave news: certain parties are looking to buy out the beloved establishment. The brawling breaker, of course, will have none of it, so—knowing what the tournament’s generous cash prize would achieve—finds himself eyeing King of Fighters. A chance to save Pao Pao, help longtime friend Richard, and settle the score with Terry Bogard—the dancing king is ready to bust out some rhythm and bruises!

In EOST MODE, players will enjoy a storyline that directly reflects his defeat against Krauser in Fatal Fury 2.
In ARCADE MODE, his entry into KOF to protect his beloved Pao Pao Café offers a classic, quintessential Duck King narrative that fans will love.
