Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd.'s popular game "eFootball" has announced that it has surpassed 850 million cumulative downloads worldwide.
To commemorate this milestone, various exciting campaigns are being held in-game, and an update implementing new features and functions has also been rolled out.

"eFootball" Becomes Even More User-Friendly with the Update!

Details of the update were revealed in the official information program "eFootball CONNECT", which was streamed on the official "eFootball" YouTube channel on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
The program also included discussions on new features and information, as well as a conversation between actor Riku Hagiwara, the newly appointed "eFootball Community Ambassador," and the "eFootball" General Producer.
Cross-Play Now Enabled Across All Compatible Consoles and PC Versions
With this update, online matches are now possible between all compatible console and PC versions.
As a result, in "eFootball™ League" and "Ranking Events," players will compete in integrated rankings across console and PC versions.
Enjoy Friend Matches and Co-op with friends on different platforms.
"vs AI Category" Appears in eFootball™ League
The "vs AI Category" has been added to eFootball™ League as a new mode for vs AI matches.
Even those who are less comfortable playing against others can test their skills in matches against AI that gets stronger with each Division increase.
Aim for "Division 1," the mark of a strong player, by leveling up against the AI.
Player Holding Feature "Backup Player Slots" Added
A new player slot feature, "Backup Player Slots," has been added.
Those who have expanded their My Team player slots up to 900 can acquire an additional 500 slots, known as "Backup Player Slots," by using the prescribed GP.
Enhanced Representation of Passing Ability
Adjustments were made so that abilities related to passing are more significantly affected by pass trajectory and speed variations.
With this adjustment, players with high passing parameters can now make sharper passes, making passing stats more important than ever when selecting players.
"eFootball Championship 2025 World Finals" to Be Held in Shibuya This Summer!

The "World Finals," being held for the 5th time this year, is the largest official esports world championship for the "eFootball" series, open to anyone and determining the top players from around the world.
Approximately 40 million people participated from over 200 countries and regions in the previous tournament.
This tournament will feature two categories, Console and Mobile, and a total of 32 top players (16 from Console, 16 from Mobile) who won various tournaments such as the open "eFootball Championship 2025 Open" and the "eFootball Championship 2025 Club Event" (which determines partner club representatives), will gather in Shibuya, Tokyo.
Players who win the Group Stage, held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, will compete in heated battles for the title of World Champion.
This year's "World Finals" will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025 (a National Holiday in Japan) at Belle Salle Shibuya Garden in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. At the venue, in addition to watching the world's highest level battles up close, there will also be special events where you can interact with popular "eFootball" influencers.
Attendance requires pre-registration, and details are scheduled to be announced in in-game notifications in late May 2025. Keep an eye out for future announcements.
Note that if there are a high number of pre-registrants, a lottery will be held, and only winners will be able to attend.
