SNK Suddenly Releases a New Video! Will Duck King and Kim Kaphwan Join "Fatal Fury: CotW"!?

SNK released a new video on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, via its official X account and official YouTube channel.
Fans are speculating that this might be a teaser for a new character in the fighting game " Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves " (hereinafter " Fatal Fury: CotW ").

New video "The Story Moves to the Next Chapter" released! Duck King and Kim Kaphwan also make an appearance.

The title of the newly posted video is “ The Story Moves to the Next Chapter.”
This is believed to be related to Season 3 of *Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves*, which is scheduled to begin in July 2026.

In the video, Duck King andKim Kaphwan —who appeared in past Fatal Fury series—make an appearance, following in the footsteps of previous DLC characters such as Wolfgang Krauser and Kenshiro.

Additionally, Rick Straudand Laocoon Godamas — whose inclusion in Fatal Fury: CotW had been hinted at in previously released videos—were also clearly visible in this footage.

It’s reasonable to assume that these four characters will be the new additions to the next season of Fatal Fury CotW, though details remain unclear at this stage.
If all four do indeed join the roster...

• Duck King, who will be making his first playable appearance in a fighting game in 21 years since "THE KING OF FIGHTERS XI"
• Kim Kaphwan, who will make his first appearance alongside his sons Kim Dong-hwan and Kim Jae-hoon as playable characters
• Rick Stroud, making his first playable appearance in a fighting game in 28 years since "Real Bout Fatal Fury 2"
• Laocoon Godamas, who has never appeared in a video game before and will make his debut in this animated film

...All four of them can certainly be said to be joining the fray at just the right time.
