Nintendo announced that it will hold a collaboration event with the Nintendo Switch 2 software, Star Fox, during the MAXIMUS CUP event for Tetris 99, a game exclusive to Nintendo Switch Online members.
It will run from July 10, 2026 (Fri.) at 12:00 AM PT to July 13 (Mon.) at 11:59 PM PT

The 55th MAXIMUS CUP "Star Fox Edition!" Is Coming!
The 55th iteration of the regular MAXIMUS CUP event for Tetris 99, a game exclusive to Nintendo Switch Online members, is a collaboration event with the Nintendo Switch 2 software, "Star Fox," which was released on June 25, 2026 (Thu.).
The event will run from July 10, 2026 (Fri.) at 12:00 AM PT to July 13 (Mon.) at 11:59 PM PT

During the event, you can earn event points based on your ranking in Tetris 99 mode.
Once you accumulate a total of 100 points, you will receive a Star Fox theme, so keep trying!
- 1st place: 100 points
- 2nd place: 70 points
- 3rd place: 50 points
- 4th–10th place: 40 points
- 11th–30th place: 30 points
- 31st–50th place: 20 points
- 51st–90th place: 10 points
- 91st–99th place: 1 point
