VALORANT Season 2026 // Act 4 Launched on June 23!
Season 2026 // Act 4 launched in VALORANT on June 23, 2026, introducing the new map, Summit.
New Map, Summit, Added!
Summit once housed a Radiant monastery where Sage studied before joining VALORANT. The 5v5 map is set in a Radiant training academy nestled in the mountains of China. Players can block the passageway connecting the training hall to the meditation garden by deploying walls set up across the map, altering battlefield conditions mid-round.
The main features of the new map, Summit, include the following:
- Two sites
- A three-lane layout
- Deployable walls at three locations (A Site, B Site, and Mid) that block lines of sight and movement paths until the round ends
The new map is playable in the competitive queue immediately. For the first two weeks after launch, playing on Summit reduces RR loss upon defeat by 50% while maintaining 100% RR gains for victories. This lets players focus on experiencing and practicing the map in a competitive environment without worrying about losing rank.
Additionally, a Summit-exclusive queue will be available for seven days, utilizing the Swiftplay mode format.
Round-Based 3v3 Mode, Retake, Introduced!
Act 4 introduces Retake, a fast-paced, round-based 3v3 mode that lets players easily enjoy post-plant offense and defense! Matches start with the Spike already planted; one team defends the site while the other attempts to retake it and defuse. Teams switch sides each round, and randomized loadouts shift as the match progresses, allowing players to experience new tactics from a fresh perspective.
