MSI's First Portable Gaming PC, the Claw A1M

Various companies, including Valve, ASUS, and Lenovo, are developing portable gaming PCs. Manufacturers are differentiating themselves through size, weight, and expandability, and now, MSI has joined the competition. MSI has unveiled the Claw A1M!
Intel Inside!

Until now, almost all portable gaming PCs used AMD CPUs, such as the Ryzen Z1. However, with the arrival of the Core Ultra processors announced in December 2023, the tide is turning.
The Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 155H featured in the Claw A1M offers significantly improved integrated GPU performance, guaranteeing a smooth gaming experience even with AAA titles. It also achieves ultra-fast AI processing speeds via the NPU. With support for Intel XeSS, 6 P-cores, 8 E-cores, and 2 low-power E-cores, these are the keys to running demanding, modern games in the palm of your hand.
Ergonomically Designed Controller Shape

It reproduces the controller shape we have been familiar with for years! MSI designed the grip section of the Claw A1M using thousands of sample data points to fit hands of all sizes. The attention to detail covers the balance between grip and weight, the curvature that fits the palm, the finger grip positions, and the feel of the triggers.
Expectations for Airflow and Battery Efficiency
Claw A1M Product PagePortable gaming PCs, which balance space-saving and high performance to the limit, inevitably get hot during gameplay. The Claw A1M cools each chip with an innovative airflow design. The product images reveal significant effort in the design of the cutouts on the back.
With a 53Whr battery capacity that lasts 50% longer than the market average, the device promises to handle long hours of gameplay!

Claw A1M Product PageAdditionally, with a 7-inch display supporting a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, refined joysticks and triggers, and Thunderbolt 4 support, the Claw A1M is equipped with more than enough specs. Pricing, release dates, and launch regions have yet to be announced, but since demo units are being exhibited at CES 2024, it might not be long before we get more news.
