Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. released the 2D exploration action game " Castlevania: Belmont's Curse " on Thursday, October 15, 2026.
This is the latest installment in the " Castlevania " series, and to celebrate its release, a campaign is currently underway offering chances to win prizes such as gaming PCs and posters autographed by the developers.

The latest entry in the "Castlevania" series, "Castlevania: Belmont's Curse," is now available! It depicts a world set 23 years after "The Legend of Castlevania."

On Thursday, October 15, 2026,Konami released “ Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse.”
This title is a 2D exploration action game developed jointly by KONAMI, Evil Empire, and Motion Twin.

The game is set in Paris, France, in 1499—23 years after the popular series entry " Castlevania: The Legend of Dracula."
In a city under attack by a sudden horde of monsters, Rose Belmont —daughter of Trevor Belmont, the hero who slew Dracula—throws herself into battle to uncover the source of this calamity.

The protagonist, Rose, explores the streets of Paris and Dracula’s Castle, making full use of weapons and skills—including the “Vampire Killer,” the sacred whip passed down through the Belmont family.
As she battles monsters, the story unfolds, drawing her closer to the conspiracy hidden behind the calamity plaguing the city.

In this title, the series’ signature whip-based action has evolved even further.
You can roam the stages freely, enjoying exploration and combat that combine a sense of speed with freedom of movement.

Furthermore, the game features the “Arcana System,” which allows you to seal defeated bosses into tarot cards and use their power to acquire spells and special actions.
In addition to series staples like Death, Medusa, and Carmilla, new bosses—including Joan of Arc—will also make their debut.

You can also customize your equipment with weapons divided into seven categories and “Magical Devices ” that provide various effects for both offense and defense.
By combining equipment obtained during exploration, you can build a combat style that suits your preferences.

The stages feature the series’ traditional gothic aesthetic, along with new visual elements that incorporate vibrant graphics.
This title offers a fresh exploration experience while retaining the essence of "Castlevania."
