The HD-2D version of Dragon Quest I & II from Square Enix was released on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
It is compatible with Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, and the Steam version will be released on Friday, October 31, 2025.
The HD-2D Version of Dragon Quest I & II is Released!
The collection Dragon Quest I & II combines "Dragon Quest" (released in 1986) and "Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line" (released in 1987). It has been newly reborn as the HD-2D version, beautifully depicting the world of Dragon Quest using HD-2D, a graphical style that fuses pixel art and 3DCG.

A new element, Scrolls, has been added, allowing you to learn specific spells and skills. Be sure to utilize each character's strengths to defeat monsters!
