Rakuten Group, Inc. will hold the e-sports event " Rakuten esports cup Grand Contest - New Currents" online on Saturday, April 19, 2025. The 9th annual event will feature the online action game " Warlander," in which up to 100 players will battle it out simultaneously, with over 80 popular streamers and VTubers competing. The event will be moderated by the well-known Kosuke Hiraiwa, and guests will include rapper Karma Rofu and streamer Oniya. During the interval, salesman Mantero Haruoka will introduce Rakuten Ichiba coupons and play mini-games.
A "Currents Campaign" is also underway to win Rakuten points by drawing lots.
