Damn… I actually won an EVO huh 🤔 didn’t really hit me until now where I’m actually thinking about it. One of my goals as a competitor was to win EVO, and I did it!

Q. How do you feel now?
TempestNYC: Quite frankly, I am very happy. This is the second time I have traveled overseas for an international tournament, and I am happy to have won again.
Q. You placed 3rd in the ARC WORLD TOUR 2023 FINALS. How have you been preparing for EVO Japan 2024?
TempestNYC: I haven't really changed my practice. I just sweat a lot and sometimes I don't feel my best, so I took care to stay in shape by drinking plenty of water and getting a good night's sleep. I was confident that I could play at a high level if I could take on the challenge in perfect condition.
Q. You played with Leo in most of your matches and won straight games in the finals. What was the reason for your victory?
TempestNYC: One reason was that I was in good shape. Another reason was that Leo is not used as much in Asia as it is in the U.S. I used Leo a lot, although there are other characters that I am confident with.
Q. Now that you are the champion, what is your next goal?
TempestNYC: I can't really think about that right now (laughs)!
