The professional esports team Nagoya OJA has announced that it will be holding an individual tournament with online preliminary rounds and an offline final for players aiming to acquire a JeSU-certified professional license for "Street Fighter 6." The tournament is titled "Nagoya NTPOJA License Challenge Tour 2024: I Am the New Hero" (hereafter referred to as the "License Challenge Tour").
The License Challenge Tour Is Set to Begin!
PR TIMESNagoya OJA, a professional esports team, has announced that it will hold the "Nagoya NTPOJA License Challenge Tour 2024: I Am the New Hero," an individual tournament with online preliminary rounds and an offline final for players aiming to acquire a JeSU-certified professional license for "Street Fighter 6."
It has been announced that in the License Challenge Tour, depending on the number of participants on the day, Capcom Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as "Capcom") will recommend participants who perform well to the Japan Esports Union (hereafter referred to as "JeSU") for the issuance of a "Japan Esports Pro License."
If the Number of Participants on the Day is 96 or More
If there are 96 or more participants on the day of the tournament, Capcom will recommend two players—the winner and the runner-up—to JeSU for the issuance of a pro license, and the pro license will be granted to the players approved by JeSU.
If the Number of Participants on the Day Is 32 to 95
If there are 32 to 95 participants on the day of the tournament, Capcom will recommend one player—the winner—to JeSU for the issuance of a pro license, and the pro license will be granted to the player approved by JeSU.
If the Number of Participants on the Day Is 31 or Fewer
If there are 31 or fewer participants on the day of the tournament, Capcom will not make a recommendation to JeSU for the issuance of a pro license.
The License Challenge Tour will be held on the following dates:
- Match 1 Qualifiers: Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 3:00 p.m.
- Match 1 Finals: Monday, October 21, 2024, from 6:00 p.m.
- Match 2 Qualifiers: Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 3:00 p.m.
- Match 2 Finals: Friday, November 29, 2024, from 6:00 p.m.
- Match 3 Qualifiers: Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 3:00 p.m.
- Match 3 Finals: Monday, December 23, 2024, from 6:00 p.m.
Entry for each tournament will open one month before the event, and you can enter via Tonamel.
Entry for the October 2024 tournament is open on Tonamel from Tuesday, October 1, 2024, until Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 12:00 a.m.
Also, it is possible to enter multiple License Challenge Tours held on different dates.

Note that the number of players recommended for a license varies depending on the number of participants on the day.
