The venue was reserved for the entire day.
Reception started at 2:00 PM, and I thought, "The working adult gamers gathered here probably took a full or half day off."

The first half was a Swiss-system tournament where players competed a set number of matches in either "Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond (hereinafter, Shadowverse WB)" or "Granblue Fantasy Versus -Rising- (hereinafter, GBVSR)."
The second half was a social gathering with light meals, where companies deepened their connections.

And over there.

As befitting working adults, the first move was a business card exchange.
However, once introductions were done, their faces quickly turned into those of gamers.

The matches began with the customary cry of "Battle! Shadowverse!"

The venue fell silent, in serious mode.

Meanwhile, "GBVSR" was also in full swing.
Many players brought their own controllers, conveying a hardcore feel despite it being a corporate tournament.

Participating in the Media Tournament!

Actually, the "Shadowverse WB" tournament had a media division separate from the general corporate division.
Saiga NAK was put into the media division without question.

The tournament, which featured serious players from news sites and strategy media, consisted of 5 BO1 matches...

  • Lost against Forestcraft
  • Lost against Dragoncraft
  • Lost against Abysscraft
  • Won against Runecraft

...resulting in a disappointing outcome.
I used Havencraft, a class I've always liked, but I really felt my lack of practice.
I can't thank "Mainyu, Darkdweller" enough for helping me avoid a complete shutout!

Thank you for hosting such a wonderful event.
This was my first time playing "Shadowverse WB" offline, and I had a lot of fun competing against former pros like Forest and Masaya.
I sincerely hope that "Shadowverse WB" will become even more popular in the future!
Now, everyone, please raise your right hand for one last time... We Love Shadowverse!

It's a bit hard to follow such a wonderful comment (laughs).
This is my first time winning an offline tournament, so I'm incredibly happy.
"GBVSR" has the characteristic of being easy to execute special moves, making it easy to feel the fun of interpersonal combat.
I've only been playing for about a year, and I think winning this time proves that.
And to conclude... We Love Granblue Versus!

Rune's Comment

Thank you for inviting me to the tournament this time.
I started "Shadowverse WB" with the mindset of "I played the previous 'Shadowverse,' so I'll give this a try," but it's very fun.
I got hooked and played a lot, so I'm happy to have won.
I'd be happy if you'd invite me again if there's another opportunity like this.
To conclude... We Love Shadowverse!

To be honest, I never thought we'd win, and I'm still half-doubting it (laughs).
Wit One Inc. is a company that develops games and provides operation support, but we haven't had many opportunities to interact with other companies, so it was a very enjoyable time.
Following those who came before me, as the overall winner… We Love Cygames!

Having Fun at the Social Gathering Too

Saiga NAK

After the tournament, the event transitioned into a social gathering.
There were groups of working adults exchanging business cards and information, and others who were simply engrossed in gaming discussions.

The "Shadowverse WB x GBVSR Joint Corporate Tournament" concluded with both the tournament and social gathering being a huge success.
Especially for "Shadowverse WB," despite being newly released, high-level battles unfolded in various places.

It seems that there are already many requests for the next event, so those working adult gamers who couldn't participate this time, why not look forward to it!?
I, too, will continue to train daily, aiming for victory next time.
