Sonic Supports Future Skateboarders! "SONIC CUP 2025" in Tokyo and Osaka Now Open for Entry

A new project, "SONIC’S RISING ATHLETES," has been launched to support children who dream of becoming professional athletes! As part of this project, the "SONIC CUP 2025," a competition for skateboarders 15 and under, will be held. Entries for this event, which shines a spotlight on young challengers, have been accepted since Monday, September 1, 2025.

The "SONIC CUP 2025," held as part of "SONIC'S RISING ATHLETES," is hosted by the Japan Skateboard Promotion Federation (JSPF). Its purpose is to provide competition opportunities for U-15 skateboarders and support their development over the medium to long term.

The event will be held in Tokyo and Osaka, and the top two finishers from each competition (four in total) will be awarded a training tour in Los Angeles, USA. This looks to be a valuable opportunity to experience the top level of the sport.

On the day of the competition, skateboarders who are active both in Japan and internationally, including Paris Olympics athletes Yuro Nagahara and Hinano Kusaki, will perform a demo ride. In addition, there will be introductory workshops and lessons by instructors! A variety of programs are available for everyone to experience skateboarding, not just to watch.
