" Tokyo Game Show 2026 " was held at Makuhari Messe from Thursday, September 17, 2026, through Monday, September 21, 2026 (a national holiday).
In this report, we’ll take a look at the booth of " eXtremeRate," a company that specializes in custom parts for game controllers!
"eXtremeRate" Booth Report! PS5 Controller DIY Modification Challenge and Fighting Game Kits on Display

At the booth, the “MOD CHALLENGE” (DIY Modification Challenge) was held, allowing visitors to try their hand at modifying PS5 controllers (DualSense) with their own hands.
The process involved selecting parts and completing the modification with staff assistance, making it easy even for beginners to participate.

" HITWAVE " is a kit that lets you modify a PS5 controller into an all-button-style fighting game controller.
It features a touchpad, left and right analog sticks, L3 and R3 buttons, and a 3.5mm audio jack, while adopting a button layout optimized for fighting games.
There were also demo stations set up where visitors could actually play “Street Fighter 6.”
Replacement shells for the Switch 2 were also on display

Replacement shells that let you customize your Nintendo Switch 2 console and Pro Controller to match your personal style.
You can create a cohesive design that extends from the console itself all the way to the Joy-Con 2.
The pure white Pro Controller looks absolutely great...!
A lineup of colorful Switch 2 covers from PlayVital

The standout feature at the booth was a wall completely covered with Nintendo Switch 2 covers from the gaming accessory brand “ PlayVital.”
Covers in a wide variety of colors were lined up, and the sheer number of colors was overwhelming.

There was also a section where visitors could freely mix and match Joy-Con 2 cases to try them out.
When I actually tried putting a case on, it attached quickly and easily, and the finished look was sleek and natural—it didn’t feel out of place at all.

There were also many covers on display for the PS5 and Switch 2 Pro controllers.
The thumb grip caps featuring seals, cats, penguins, and other designs are absolutely adorable.
You can also try out HexGaming controllers

In one corner of the booth was a section dedicated to “HexGaming,” a brand that specializes in custom pro-gaming controllers.
Visitors could test how they felt while actually playing “Apex Legends.”
From those looking to fine-tune their controller’s performance to those who just want to enjoy its cute design, this booth had something for everyone.
