The hosting of TGS2026 has been confirmed, and a presentation event was held to mark the occasion.
The event is packed with content, including a hosting format that differs from previous years and special commemorative projects.

The total number of visitors over the four days of Tokyo Game Show 2025 was 263,101.
The event showed great excitement, particularly during Business Days, which recorded the highest number of visitors to date.

Driven by a desire for more people to enjoy TGS2026 and to ensure everyone can move around the venue comfortably and safely, the duration has been extended from the usual four days to the first-ever 5 days.
Additionally, in a change from Tokyo Game Show 2025, the Family Game Park will be moved to TKP Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall due to construction at the Makuhari Messe Event Hall.
30th Anniversary in 2026! Commemorative Projects in Preparation!
Tokyo Game Show, which began in 1996, will reach its 30th anniversary in 2026.
In honor of this milestone, special 30th anniversary commemorative projects are reportedly in preparation, including the development of commemorative goods and collaborations.
Details are scheduled to be announced in July 2026!

CESA's New Mascot Character, CESA-saurus
CESA-saurus was born as the new mascot character for CESA, which also celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026!
The character was officially chosen through a rigorous screening process from over 700 public submissions.
CESA-saurus is a playful dinosaur who loves games and goes by the nickname Sessa.
Moving forward, Sessa will appear at events hosted by CESA, starting with Tokyo Game Show, to interact with visitors.
