The Computer Entertainment Rating Organization (CERO), a non-profit organization that had suspended all operations since Wednesday, April 8, 2020, following the declaration of a state of emergency by the Japanese government, announced that it will resume operations on May 7, 2020.

After the resumption of operations, CERO will use shortened business hours and telework to cope with the situation.

The hours of operation will be shortened to 10:00 to 16:00 for the time being.
It was also announced that preparations are underway to introduce teleworking.

The declaration of a state of emergency has been postponed until May 31.

While many companies are closed due to the state of emergency declaration, the postponement of the state of emergency declaration was officially announced.

Although game companies are now working from home or staying at home due to the emergency declaration, there were concerns that the schedule for new game releases would be postponed rapidly because the new games could not be reviewed until CERO, the review organization, resumes its operations.
