Behaviour Interactive Inc. has announced that its asymmetrical competitive multiplayer horror game, Dead by Daylight (dbd), will return with a " 2 vs. 8 Mode " from Wednesday, April 29, 2026 through Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The "2 vs. 8 mode" will be revived from Wednesday, April 29 to Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Based on player feedback and in-game data, the balance and gameplay of " 2 vs. 8 mode " has been adjusted. This time, adjustments have been made to two killer characters.

• Death Slinger: Reduced penalties for reloading and missed shots.
• Demon: Survivors now lose more duration when dying while in "Blood Rage" mode.

In addition, the cage system has been updated. When cages are repositioned, the bleeding timer will be stopped for a certain amount of time, making it easier for survivors to coordinate with each other for rescue.
