Canadian game development company Behaviour Interactive Inc. announced that Dead by Daylight: Jason, a new chapter of the multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight, is scheduled to be released on June 16, 2026.
Ahead of the release, the PTB (Public Test Build) will begin on Steam starting May 26, 2026.

A New Killer in DbD! Unique Abilities Fitting for “Jason” Appear
Jason, who appears as a Killer in “DbD: Jason,” possesses two abilities.
Omnipresent Evil

The first is an ability that embodies Jason's stealth nature, allowing him to appear in unexpected locations and catch Survivors by surprise.
When activating Omnipresent Evil, Jason disappears from the map, and his movement speed increases.
While disappeared, it is possible to predict the movements of Survivors from footprints and other clues to hunt down opponents more efficiently.
Furthermore, from his disappeared state, Jason can suddenly show his face while destroying obstacles.
In addition to the tension of the Killer's presence suddenly becoming invisible, Survivors must face the terror of a vicious jumpscare waiting for them past obstacles.
Improvised Carnage

In the second ability, the brutality and creativity unique to Jason—where he makes full use of surrounding items to finish off Survivors—is expressed.
When Jason appears in a match, containers filled with locker debris, broken generator parts, shattered pallets, hooks, and other objects appear all over the map.
Jason can pick these up and throw them with tremendous force.
In addition to being able to make Survivors stagger by hitting them with an item, if a wounded Survivor takes an attack near a wall, they will be pinned to that spot and left unable to move in a helpless state until they are finished off by Jason.

- Backwoods Terror: Wearing a flannel shirt and suspenders instead of a jacket, with the weapon changed to a heavy axe
- Depths of Despair Outfit: Covered entirely in barnacles, coral, and seaweed, looking as if he has resurrected from the bottom of the sea
