The Third "2v8 Mode" Is a "Resident Evil" Collaboration!
PR TIMESFrom Tuesday, February 11, 2025, to Tuesday, February 25, 2025, the third "2v8 Mode" will appear in the popular asymmetrical competitive multiplayer horror game "Dead by Daylight."
The "2v8 Mode" has garnered a significant response since its initial appearance in 2024, and this time, it's a collaboration with "Resident Evil," featuring Nemesis and Wesker alongside The Legion, an original killer from "Dead by Daylight."
In the third "2v8 Mode," all player slots might be filled with "Resident Evil" characters, and the "Raccoon City Police Station" will be added to the map options, allowing players to fully enjoy the "Resident Evil" world!
Additionally, during the period when the "2v8 Mode" is implemented, from Tuesday, February 11, 2025, to Tuesday, February 25, 2025, all "Resident Evil" characters can be played for free exclusively within the "2v8 Mode"!
Exciting New Gameplay Elements Introduced!
Antidotes Now Available from Supply Cases
In the third "2v8 Mode," if both Nemesis and Wesker are chosen as killers and appear in a match, an antidote will be available from supply cases as a special tool to cure both infections!
"Herbs" Item for Tactical Play Introduced!
The "Herbs" item, iconic in the "Resident Evil" series, will appear as a new element in the third "2v8 Mode."
At the start of a match, "Green Herbs" and "Yellow Herbs" will be randomly placed on the map.
"Green Herbs" can restore a survivor's health by one level, while "Yellow Herbs" can reduce the number of times a survivor has been sent to a cage by one.
Conversely, if killers find herbs, they can destroy them and get a temporary speed boost bonus each time they do so.
Two Survivor Bots Added to Reduce Waiting Time!
To reduce waiting times in matches, two survivor bots will be added to all lobbies in the third "2v8 Mode," allowing for smoother game starts.
"Resident Evil" Outfits Available!
This time, six new "Resident Evil" outfits will be added.
- Nemesis Origin Outfit
- New Dawn Outfit
For survivors, outfits for the following four characters will be added:
- Jill Valentine
- Leon S. Kennedy
- Ada Wong
- Rebecca Chambers
