The Japan Professional Football League (hereafter, J.LEAGUE) and Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. (hereafter, KONAMI) announced the start of the online qualifiers for the official esports tournament "eJ.LEAGUE eFootball 2025 Season," which features the currently available "eFootball" as the featured game, on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
Official Esports Tournament "eJ.LEAGUE eFootball 2025 Season" Qualifiers Started on March 6
"eJ.LEAGUE eFootball 2025 Season" is an official esports tournament contested by all 40 J1 and J2 clubs, open to all "eFootball" users, and this year marks its 5th season.
In the 2024 season, approximately 460,000 people (total of Mobile and PlayStation divisions) participated in the online qualifiers, and Yokohama F. Marinos won their second championship.
In the 2025 season, the representative players from each club who win the qualifiers in the Mobile and PlayStation divisions will compete fiercely for the top spot among the 40 clubs in the final tournament scheduled to be held offline in June.
It is a large-scale tournament with a total prize pool of 20 million yen, with 5 million yen for the winning club and 3 million yen for the runner-up club.
In the 2025 season, the representative players who become the champions of "eJ.LEAGUE eFootball 2025 Season" will be granted the right to participate in the "eFootball Championship 2025 World Finals."
The "eFootball Championship 2025 World Finals" is a tournament to decide the world's No. 1 "eFootball" player, scheduled to be held in the summer of 2025. In the last season, player Rentao from Brazil won in the Mobile division, and player Mayageka from Japan won in the Console division.

For players who become club representatives, a send-off & special event will be held for each club.
