Arc System Works will release the new playable character Robo-Ky for the 2.5D fighting game Guilty Gear -Strive- (GGST) on Thursday, July 2, 2026.
Along with the announcement, the studio released a character reveal trailer and a starter guide.
Robo-Ky Arrives on July 2!
Arc System Works will release the new playable character Robo-Ky on Thursday, July 2, 2026.
While he made appearances in Story Mode in recent titles, this marks his long-awaited return as a playable character since Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R.

- Name: Robo-Ky (EN Voice: Alejandro Saab, JP Voice: Shigeru Chiba)
- Height: 178cm (by design)
- Weight: 580 mandarins
- Blood Type: R&B Hydraulic Fluid
- Date of Birth: June 10
- Origin: Post-War Administration Bureau Lab
- Hobbies: Wife hunting, checking out junk shops
- Important Things: Dreams, daily maintenance
- Dislikes: People who laugh at dreams, raccoons and crows, low pay
Scientists at the Post-War Administration Bureau developed this humanoid weapon, modeled after Ky Kiske.
Despite being a robot, he loves women like no other, and a rhinoceros beetle called the Hercules Engine serves as his power source.
After losing his body in a battle against Bedman, he has been helping out at Venom's bakery to earn money for body repairs.
However, he would never just settle for that situation...
With the money he painstakingly saved, he has finally reclaimed a body (in the form of a rental).
Dressed in a sharp suit and looking quite pleased with himself, he barely shows any traces of Ky anymore.
Although his costume and other details have changed from previous titles, Robo-Ky's signature comical actions remain alive and well in GGST.
Be sure to check out the trailer as well.
Along with this, Arc System Works released a starter guide showcasing Robo-Ky's moves and mechanics.
Robo-Ky utilizes many tricky moves.
Take control of the battle by utilizing special moves that his unique gauge powers up.
Fans can look forward to this revamped Robo-Ky, who carries over elements from previous entries such as his electricity gauge.
Robo-Ky will cost 880 yen (tax included).
Players can also unlock him by purchasing the GGST Season Pass 5, so please be careful to avoid duplicate purchases.
The Second Blazing Pass "Duel 2 Ennui Protocol" Starts July 2!

Simultaneously with Robo-Ky's release, the second Blazing Pass, Duel 2 Ennui Protocol, a limited-time reward system, will also kick off.
In this Blazing Pass, players can earn various rewards, including an exclusive accessory for Ky, Thunderseal (Holy Order).
