The fighting game festival EVO 2024 was held in Las Vegas from Friday, July 19, to Sunday, July 21, 2024.
At EVO 2024, Bushiroad Inc. released the trailer for the new playable character Meruem and the game's opening video for the 2D fighting game HUNTER×HUNTER NEN×IMPACT.

Meruem Trailer and Game Opening Video Released!
Meruem (voiced by Kouki Uchiyama) is the New Playable Character!
The participation of Meruem, the Chimera Ant King who appears in the Chimera Ant arc, was announced with the release of his character reveal trailer.
While Meruem is a Power-type character, his strength lies in his ability to maintain the offensive from any situation. He possesses a variety of techniques, including movement abilities that allow him to instantly rush his opponent and powerful tail attacks with superior reach.
Furthermore, his high support capability suggests he can fight in a versatile manner.

The game opening video was first revealed on stage at EVO 2024!
