The " AUTOBACS JeGT GRAND PRIX 2020 Series ( JeGT)", the largest e-motorsports tournament in Japan, will finally be held from December 19, 2020 (Saturday).
In addition to professional racing drivers, " JeGT Certified Drivers " who have objectively proven that they have advanced skills in Gran Turismo SPORT will compete in this tournament.
In order to become a JeGT certified driver, one must pass the "JeGT Drivers Selection ( JDS)", and when the event was announced in October, there were 19 certified drivers.
The JDS test was held again in October, and the top players were selected. Forty-six players from all over Japan were registered as "JeGT Certified Drivers.
The " JeGT Draft Conference " will be held on Tuesday, November 10, from 6:00 p.m. to decide which team each of the "JeGT Certified Drivers" will belong to.
The "JeGT Draft Conference" will be broadcast live on YouTube.
The " Certified Driver A " who is not a member of any team competing in the JeGT at the time of taking the JDS will be eligible for nomination at the "JeGT Draft Conference".
Certified Driver B " who has already been a member of one of the teams competing in JeGT prior to taking the JDS exam and has already been assigned to a team is not eligible for nomination.
JeGT Certified Drivers will be selected from "Certified Driver A" who wish to participate in the " TEAM B ATTLE" of JeGT, by nominating the driver whom the entrant of the "TEAM BATTLE" wishes to obtain. This system is designed to ensure that JeGT-certified drivers are equally assigned to each entry.
The 13 entrants scheduled to participate in the "TEAM BATTLE" are all racing teams or automobile-related companies that participate in existing motorsports.
