Nintendo has announced an in-game event, "Online Challenge: Summer Vacation Skill Test," for the Nintendo Switch 2 game "Mario Kart World."
The event will be held for two hours from 5:00 PM JST to 7:00 PM JST on Saturday, August 23, 2025.

"Online Challenge: Summer Vacation Skill Test" In-Game Event to Be Held in "Mario Kart World"!

The "Mario Kart World" in-game event "Online Challenge: Summer Vacation Skill Test" has been announced!
In this event, you'll compete with other players online to raise your rating.
Ratings start at 3,000 and fluctuate based on your match results.
You will compete in a 150cc race format for two hours, and the final rankings will be determined by your rating at the end of the event.

The event will be held for two hours from 5:00 PM JST to 7:00 PM JST on Saturday, August 23, 2025.
You can participate in the following way:

1. After starting the game, select "Online"
2. Select "Find an event" with the minus button and enter the 4-digit event ID: "2378"
3. Event information will be displayed, and you can play matches during the event hours shown on the screen

If you enter the event ID before the event period, you can play a practice match with the same rules as the "Online Challenge: Summer Vacation Skill Test."

The player data for the TOP 1-100 players will be posted on the official website approximately one week after the event.
The first-place winner for each character will also be listed, so even if you feel that "it might be a little difficult to get into the TOP 100," you can still aim for a top ranking.
