Even if We Say Yellow, It’s Not Just One Shade! Famicom National Poll Vol. 45 Yellow Cartridge Results Announced!

Typhoon No. 1 finally formed in 2024, meaning typhoon season has arrived.
With this as a catalyst, it seems like we are about to enter the rainy season, with all its dampness and drizzle, making it a bit of a chore to go out and play.
Depending on your constitution, changes in atmospheric pressure and humidity can cause you to feel unwell, so at times like that, it is best to daringly choose to relax at home.
Speaking of the best partner for time at home, it’s video games!
It seems like there will be some kind of new title announcements on various platforms in the near future, but even after they are announced, it takes time until they are released.
Of course, we play games while waiting for a release, but for those looking forward to a title whose launch is approaching, you might feel hesitant to start something new.
In such cases, retro games, many of which can be played casually, are perfect! And if it’s the Famicom or NES (Nintendo Entertainment System), you can easily play many titles via Family Computer Nintendo Switch Online on Nintendo Switch!
I’m sure many of you use the weekly Famicom National Poll as a reference for which masterpiece title to play next, and this week the results for Vol. 45, "Which Game Features a Yellow Cartridge?" have been announced!

The results for the Famicom National Poll Vol. 45, "Which Game Features a Yellow Cartridge?" have been announced, and the top 20 are now public on the Famicom 40th Anniversary Campaign Site!
We have had cartridge color themes before, but it is interesting how the shades vary more than with black or white. Some are vivid, others are more orangey.

In the midst of that, the one that shone in 1st place was Super Mario Bros. with 27.6% of the vote!
Ever since it took 1st place in Vol. 1, "Which Was the First You Bought (or Had Bought for You)?", it has taken 1st place many times and is a title synonymous with the Famicom that has ranked in the top 20 countless times.
Even people who voted for other titles probably thought that Super Mario Bros. would be 1st.
With Super Mario Bros. 3 at 6th place and Mario Bros. at 16th place, it seems that all the Mario games for the Famicom with yellow-ish cartridges have ranked in, haven't they?

This time, in addition to the three Mario works, Solomon's Key, Mighty Bomb Jack, and City Connection are currently available on Family Computer Nintendo Switch Online, so for those of you who played them back then, and those who haven't played them yet, please do!
Chubby Cherub, which the author voted for, was in a high position at 5th place, but I want people who have never played it to try it at least once! In fact, just once is enough!

The end of Vol. 45 means that Vol. 46 has begun.
Voting for the Famicom National Poll Vol. 46 has started as of Thursday, May 30, 2024! The theme this time is "Which RPG?"!

We have had game genre series before, but the time has finally come for RPG to be the theme.
Speaking from personal preference and personal history, RPG is the genre where I have played the most titles, so it is truly difficult to choose.
I'm sure the memories of traveling through each world with each playstyle have truly become precious memories unique to that person.
Because of that, I think it will be hard to narrow it down to one title, but please cast your honest vote for the RPG title that remains an important journey within you even now!

This time as well, you can vote from the Famicom National Poll page on the campaign site after logging into your Nintendo Account.
Do not worry, as even if you have forgotten the title, candidates will appear if you enter part of the name.
The voting period for the Famicom National Poll Vol. 46 is until Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 11:59 PM! The results announcement is scheduled for Thursday, June 6, 2024!

Among the far too many titles I wanted to vote for, I voted for Famicom Jump II: Saikyo no 7 Nin! My favorite party is JoJo, Goku, and Tar-chan!
