Pokémon Pokopia Confirmed for Spring 2026 Release!
The first Pokémon slow-life sandbox game, Pokémon Pokopia, has been announced! The protagonist of this game is Ditto, the Transformation Pokémon. Ditto transforms into a human and begins a new life with the Pokémon living in this land.

Ditto, who has transformed into a human, will find that what it can do expands more and more as it learns moves from the Pokémon it meets. For example, after getting a hint from Bulbasaur, a Pokémon that loves green things, it can learn the move Leafage to increase greenery. Similarly, after getting a hint from Squirtle for Water Gun, it can use the move to revive dead grass by watering it.

The in-game time is linked to the real world. You can collect stones and wood to craft furniture, grow vegetables in farm plots, or build houses for the Pokémon, and what you do is up to you. By utilizing the moves you've learned, you can create a comfortable environment for Pokémon. Once you do, various Pokémon will begin to gather, and you might even be able to invite other players...?
Pokémon Pokopia will be released for the Nintendo Switch 2 in spring 2026. Reservations for the physical version will begin on Thursday, November 13, 2025, and for the digital version on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. For more details, please see the Nintendo Topics.
