Duck King: His first playable appearance in a fighting game in 21 years since THE KING OF FIGHTERS XI.
Kim Kaphwan: His first playable co-starring role with his sons, Kim Dong Hwan and Kim Jae Hoon.
Rick Strowd: His first playable appearance in a fighting game in 28 years since Real Bout Fatal Fury 2.
Laocorn Gaudaumas: A character who has never appeared in a video game before, with his debut being in the animated movie.

All four of them could be considered long-awaited additions to the roster.
