Taito Corporation announced that the latest arcade entry in the Street Fighter series, Street Fighter 6 Type Arcade, will begin nationwide in Japan operation on Thursday, December 14, 2023.
Additionally, Taito Corporation will hold a Launch Commemoration Event at Plaza Capcom Kichijoji on launch day, where visitors can play against pro gamers Kazunoko and Dogura, as well as TV personality RaMu.

Street Fighter 6 Type Arcade Launches Nationwide!

The latest arcade entry in the Street Fighter series, Street Fighter 6 Type Arcade, begins nationwide in Japan operation on Thursday, December 14, 2023. At launch, Street Fighter 6 Type Arcade features a roster of 20 characters, including Luke, Ken, and DLC addition Rashid.

In Street Fighter 6 Type Arcade, players can plug their own controller into the cabinet alongside using the standard arcade stick. You can experience the same excitement from home consoles right at the arcade. Furthermore, for the first time in the series, Capcom implemented a Safety Mode for vs. matches against other players, preventing a game over until you lose twice and making the game even more accessible. In-Person Event Held at Plaza Capcom Kichijoji!

On launch day, Thursday, December 14, 2023, an in-person event will be held at Plaza Capcom Kichijoji. The event features comedic duo NO MOTION. as MCs, alongside popular pro gamers Kazunoko (@kazunoko0215) and Dogura (@maneater_dgr), as well as gravure talent and influencer RaMu (@dpandaramu).

The event will feature Exhibition Matches between the special guests and attendees on a first-come, first-served basis. As attendance perks, the first 50 visitors will receive a special tote bag, and those who participate in matches will receive a limited-quantity special IC card sticker.
