MenaRD is from the Dominican Republic and is hailed as the strongest player in history, having won Capcom Cup twice in the previous title, Street Fighter 5. In Street Fighter 6 as well, he has won Evo Japan 2025 and Evo 2025, and is currently a top-class powerhouse.
On the other hand, Umehara conquered the world by winning the Street Fighter 3 world tournament held in America in 1999. In the Losers Final of the Evo 2004 Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike division, he defeated the strongest player in the US at the time, Justin Wong, with a comeback victory highly acclaimed as Evo Moment 37. Since then, he has continued to fight on the front lines of the esports world as Japan's first professional gamer.
The confrontation between these two will finally take place at Evo. It will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, under the rules of KEMONOMICHI and FT10. Expectations are high for this must-see matchup for all Street Fighter 6 players.
