Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that the latest title in the "Super Robot Wars" series, "Super Robot Wars Y," will be released in 2025 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Steam.
As part of the announcement, the first promotional video and the official website have been launched.
The Latest Title in the Series After Approx. 4 Years, "Super Robot Wars Y," Scheduled for Release in 2025!
Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that the latest title in the "Super Robot Wars" series, "Super Robot Wars Y," will be released in 2025.
It will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Steam.
This title is the latest console/PC title after approximately 4 years since the 30th-anniversary title "Super Robot Wars 30" in 2021, and it is a simulation game where robots from different animation series appear together beyond the boundaries of their works.

This title includes works from a wide range of generations, such as:
- Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Season 1 (Series debut)
- Macross Δ the Movie: Passionate Walküre (Home console series debut)

- Chōdenji Robo Combattler V
- Majestic Prince
- Aura Battler Dunbine
- Mobile Fighter G Gundam
- Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection

This title progresses by repeating the three parts: the "Adventure Part," the "Simulation Part," and the "Strategy Part."
In the "Adventure Part," you can read the story leading up to combat.
You can enjoy the co-starring of characters who never crossed paths in their original works.
In the "Simulation Part," combat with enemies awaits.
You clear the stage by fulfilling victory conditions, such as "Defeat all enemies."
"Combat" is a turn-based battle divided into "Player Phase" and "Enemy Phase."
In the "Player Phase," in addition to moving and attacking robots, there are also "Spirit Commands," which allow for various effects such as recovery and attack power increase buffs.
Some robots also have Unique Commands!
In the "Strategy Part," which is between the Simulation Part and the Adventure Part, you can use the funds and points obtained in combat to strengthen your robots and pilots as you like!
It is a title that fully incorporates the essence of Super Robot Wars, where you nurture your favorite robots and pilots while enjoying a story that crosses over various original works and exciting combat animations.
