Square Enix Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Square Enix) announced the sale of Slime Manju, a new collaboration product with AoyagiSouhonke Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as AoyagiSouhonke), in conjunction with the Dragon Quest Walking (Chubu) event, which is linked with the location-based RPG for smartphones Dragon Quest Walk.
The release date is Friday, April 17, 2026.

Slime Manju on Sale for a Limited Time Starting April 17!
The Tokai region real-life walking event Dragon Quest Walking (Chubu), linked with Dragon Quest Walk, will be held on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, 2026.
In conjunction with the event, the release of Slime Manju, jointly developed by Square Enix and AoyagiSouhonke, is confirmed for Friday, April 17, 2026!
Furthermore, at locations other than the AoyagiSouhonke ESCA Direct Store and Osu Main Store, the product is scheduled for sequential release from the 18th onward.

Slime Manju Utilizing AoyagiSouhonke’s Skills

This product makes full use of the Japanese confectionery techniques AoyagiSouhonke cultivated through its mainstay product, Kaeru Manju.
Smooth and soft thin-skinned dough is packed full of koshian (smooth bean paste) that has a simple, moderately sweet flavor.
The mold-making and branding-iron production to realize the project began in June 2025, and it reportedly took approximately 10 months until the final branding iron was completed in mid-March 2026.
To stably manufacture the adorable Slime face, a branding iron for the eyes and mouth was adopted.
Under the supervision of Square Enix, a high-quality Slime Manju was completed through the efforts of AoyagiSouhonke!
Slime Manju Decorations Added to Collaboration Stores!
Slime Manju decorations have been added to the Dragon Quest Walk collaboration-themed interior decorations at the ESCA Direct Store!
Official Dragon Quest-related merchandise will also be sold at the ESCA Store and Osu Main Store.
Also, Slime Uirou, which was sold as the fourth installment (Aichi edition) of the Physical Souvenir Project, is currently being re-released until Friday, July 31, 2026!
