The "Galaxy Z Fold7" is a foldable smartphone equipped with an 8-inch main display and a 6.5-inch sub-display. The screen is larger than its predecessor, the "Galaxy Z Fold6," and the cover display has a 21:9 aspect ratio, achieving a size closer to that of a typical smartphone. This improves convenience when closed.

The most distinctive feature of this model is its thinness. While its predecessor was 12.1mm when closed and 5.6mm when open, the "Galaxy Z Fold7" achieves an overwhelming thinness of 8.9mm when closed and 4.2mm when open.

In recent years, Samsung had fallen behind other foldable smartphones in terms of thinness, but the "Galaxy Z Fold7," with its revamped internal structure, overcomes this weakness by becoming incredibly thin. When closed, it is almost as thin as a typical smartphone.

The weight has also been reduced by 24g, from 239g for its predecessor to 215g for the "Galaxy Z Fold7." It is lighter than the company's flagship smartphone, the "Galaxy S25 Ultra."

The CPU is this year's high-end chip, the "Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy." It uses the same chip as the Galaxy S25 series and offers performance that allows for comfortable play of even demanding 3D games. It comes with 12GB/16GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB of storage.

For camera performance, the outer camera is equipped with a 200-megapixel wide-angle main lens + 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens + 10-megapixel 3x optical telephoto lens, and the inner cameras on both the main and cover displays are 10-megapixel lenses. The outer camera is the first in the Galaxy Z Fold series to feature a 200-megapixel lens, allowing for higher-definition photography. The inner camera on the main display has been changed from an under-display camera to a punch-hole camera, but the pixel count has been improved.

Galaxy AI has also evolved, with "Eraser Suggest" automatically detecting unnecessary subjects in an image and deleting them with one tap. "Audio Eraser" allows for the removal of unwanted noise with a single tap, making editing easier than ever.

One notable change from its predecessor is that the "Galaxy Z Fold7" is not compatible with the S Pen. This is likely due to prioritizing thinness when revamping the internal structure, but many who previously used the S Pen to draw illustrations or take notes on the Galaxy Z Fold series may be disappointed by this.
