Currently serialized in Kodansha's Afternoon, Blue Period by Tsubasa Yamaguchi is a highly acclaimed art-themed coming-of-age manga that depicts the story of an ambitious, street-smart delinquent aiming for art school admission. It won the Manga Grand Prize in 2020, was adapted into a TV anime in 2021, and a live-action film in July 2024.
Now, Blue Period and the online liquor store KURAND are collaborating!
The collaboration sake, "Murai Yakumo," inspired by the character Murai Yakumo, is scheduled to begin shipping sequentially from mid-December 2024!
Collaboration Sake "Murai Yakumo" Themed After a Scene from Comic Volume 14
"Murai Yakumo" Product Page"Murai Yakumo" is based on the sake that Yatora and his friends drank when they visited Hiroshima, a place connected to their classmate Yakumo.
The original label features an impactful “八雲” (Yakumo) design, inspired by the atelier of the Kakinokizaka family where they worked on their art!
The sake itself is a Junmai Ginjo made by Umeda Shuzojo, a brewery in Hiroshima Prefecture, using "Moebuki," an original sake rice from Hiroshima.
You can enjoy its gorgeous aroma, reminiscent of green apples, a smooth texture, and a delightfully mild sweetness!
