Blue Period", a popular manga series in Kodansha's "Afternoon" (written by Tsubasa Yamaguchi), is an art-related coming-of-age manga about a hard-working yankee with a good attitude toward life and his application to art school, which won the Manga Grand Prize in 2020. It was adapted into an animated TV series in 2021 and a live-action movie in July 2024.
Blue Period" and the online liquor store "Cland" are collaborating on this project! The collaboration sake, "Murai Yakumo," which is based on the character Yakumo Murai, will be shipped sequentially from mid-December 2024!

"村井八雲"商品ページThe concept of "Murai Yakumo" is the sake that the main character Hachitora and his friends drank together when they visited Hiroshima, the birthplace of their classmate Yakumo. The original label is inspired by the Kakinokizaka family studio where they worked, and features the word " Yakumo " with an impactful design. The contents are from a sake brewery in Hiroshima Prefecture!
The inside is a junmai ginjo sake made from Hiroshima Prefecture's original sake rice "Moeibuki" by Umeda Shuzojo, a sake brewery in Hiroshima Prefecture. It has a gorgeous green apple-like ginjo aroma, a rounded mouthfeel, and a pleasantly soft sweetness!
