The latest open-world historical action-adventure title, "Ghost of Yōtei," from Sucker Punch Productions, the studio behind the popular game "Ghost of Tsushima," was released on Thursday, October 2, 2025.

A launch trailer showcasing the battles of Atsu, a female martial artist, is currently available. The game is set in Edo-period Hokkaido, which is rendered as a beautifully detailed open world.
It is thrilling to watch her master various weapons, such as a sword, kusarigama (chain and sickle), and matchlock gun, and defeat the enemies that stand in her way.
The game was also very popular at the Sony Interactive Entertainment booth at Tokyo Game Show 2025.
The booth was bustling with many people eager to try the game before release.
Furthermore, it won the Future Division award at the Japan Game Awards 2025, suggesting high expectations from fans.
The Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes various bonuses; the Collector's Edition, which also includes life-size replicas of the protagonist's mask (menpō) and sword guard (tsuba); and the PlayStation 5 Ghost of Yōtei Gold Limited Edition set, which includes a limited-edition PS5 console and controller, were all released simultaneously.
