Sega and Otafuku Sauce announced their collaboration for "ソース×ソースコードを学ぶ！プログラミング＆お好み焼教室Learn Sauce × Source Code! Programming & Okonomiyaki Class (Learn Sauce × Source Code! Programming & Okonomiyaki Class)," an experiential event combining games and cooking, to be held in Koto-ku, Tokyo, on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
This free event offers a variety of content, including a programming lecture featuring the popular game Puyo Puyo and okonomiyaki making.
Games and Cooking Merge! A One-Day Special Class for Families to Enjoy
PR TIMESThis event, realized through the collaboration between Sega and Otafuku Sauce Co., Ltd., is a family's experiential class that combines learning, fun, and taste.
In the programming lecture, participants can enjoy coding by using Puyo Puyo, a well-known esports title, to transcribe game source code and customize character appearances to look like Otafuku sauce or vegetables.
The instructor will be Piponeer (@piponeer), a professional Puyo Puyo player and former system engineer.
Parents and children who are not familiar with programming can also participate with ease.

Additionally, in the cooking portion, an "Okonomiyaki Master" from Otafuku Sauce will serve as an instructor, teaching how to make okonomiyaki from the basics.
After completion, participants can also try "Oko Art," drawing patterns with mayonnaise, and taste the finished dish on the spot.
Finally, a game battle using "Puyo Puyo eSports" is also planned, making it a playful and fun-filled day.
The event will be held in Tokyo and is free to participate.
The number of participants is limited to 10 parent-child pairs (20 people), and if there are too many applicants, a lottery will be held.
