From September 26 (Thu) to September 29 (Sun), 2024, the "Tokyo Game Show 2024" (TGS2024) is being held, where various publishers exhibit their booths, offering hands-on demos of the latest titles and announcing new information.
At TGS2024, Square Enix streamed the "Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation" TGS2024 Special Stage on September 29, 2024 (Sun).
During the program, live gameplay footage was shown along with the latest updates related to Dragon Quest!
"Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation" TGS2024 Special Stage Stream!
On September 29, 2024 (Sun), the TGS2024 Special Stage for "Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation" was streamed.
The show featured game designer Yuji Horii, talent JOY, actor Yui, and the game’s producer Masaaki Hayasaka.

In the broadcast, the early part of the story was showcased through live gameplay while comparing it to the original Famicom version.
It was revealed that new events, supervised by Yuji Horii and not present in the original, have been added.
In character creation, not only can you choose a profession, but you can also set hair color and select from 18 types of battle voices.

During the battle scenes, gameplay footage from Tower of Transcendence—where you can obtain the Words of Wisdom—was shown.
In this version, battle speed can be adjusted in three stages during combat.

It was also revealed that three Books of Satori can be obtained in this game.
However, the Sugoroku board is not implemented.
The reason given was that the developers prioritized letting players experience the game sooner rather than delaying the release.
Although they regretfully had to cut it, this allowed them to focus development efforts on the main story.
The new feature "Monster Battle Road" was also introduced.
It was revealed that monsters can also be encountered in Garuna Tower.
By including the new job class "Monster Tamer," the chances of recruiting monsters increase.
"Dragon Quest Lottery Special ~Legend of Roto Edition~" Release Confirmed!
To commemorate the release of the HD-2D version of "Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation," it was announced that the lottery will launch on Friday, November 15, 2024.
Prizes include a book light featuring the Emblem of Roto.
The final prize includes the "Roto’s Sword & Shield Special Metallic Blue Version" and "Roto’s Sword & Shield Special Color Version."
It was revealed that the red-colored Roto’s Sword and Shield—different from their usual colors—serve as a foreshadowing.
