Capcom Co., Ltd. released the Community Tournament Guidelines on April 28, 2026, targeting individuals and voluntary organizations within Japan.
By complying with the rules established herein, it becomes possible to host tournaments using eligible titles such as Street Fighter 6 without contacting Capcom individually.

The guidelines released today were established to support user community activities. Previously, permission was required for both individuals and corporations to host tournaments, but these conditions have been relaxed through the revision of these guidelines.
Eligible Community Tournaments
- Community tournaments held within Japan by residents of Japan
- Community tournaments hosted by individuals or groups without legal personality
- Non-profit community tournaments
Not Covered by the Guidelines
- Community tournaments hosted primarily by corporations, schools, or public organizations such as governments
- Community tournaments hosted primarily by privately owned stores, such as restaurants
- Community tournaments held in facilities with age restrictions for entry
- Community tournaments held in facilities related to gambling or wagering
- Community tournaments used for the advertisement or promotion of one's own products or services, politics, religion, or ideologies and beliefs
- Community tournaments that are illegal or for inappropriate purposes, or that risk damaging the brand by being contrary to public order and morals
- Profit-oriented community tournaments
Eligible Titles
- Ultra Street Fighter IV
- Street Fighter V Champion Edition
- Street Fighter 6
- Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection International: All included titles
- Capcom Fighting Collection: All included titles
- Capcom Fighting Collection 2: All titles except for the the CAPCOM vs. SNK series
Additionally, an upper limit has been set for the number of participants. Tournaments requiring a participation fee are limited to 64 people or fewer, and free tournaments are limited to 256 people or fewer.
If conditions are met, organizers may also collect participation and spectator fees. Participation fees must be 2,000 yen (including tax) or less per person, and spectator fees must be 1,500 yen (including tax) or less per person. Collected fees can be used for tournament operations, provided that they are not treated as profit. Furthermore, championship prizes are limited to certificates or trophies with no monetary value.
