One of the most exciting new games of 2022 is " Splatoon 3," a.k.a. Splatoon 3. It was released on September 9, and many people made their Splat debut with this title, as well as those who have played the previous title, and it was proudly ranked No. 1 on the Nintendo eShop's "2022 Annual Download Ranking.
It is a popular game that needs no explanation, but because there is no demo version available, there may be people who are interested in the game but are unfamiliar with Splat or who cannot make a debut even if a friend recommends it to them.
However, the shopping center "The ONE" near the Fangler was holding a "Splat 3 Experience Event " from December 10 (Sat.) to December 28 (Wed.), so of course, we had to try it out! The Fangler editorial staff (members who have not yet played Splat 3) went to experience it!
The ONE's "Icus Stall" set up in the plaza
The ONE is one of the popular shopping malls in Tsim Sha Tsui. It is home to Japanese-affiliated stores such as Aeon and Daiso, as well as restaurants such as AFURI and Tonkichi. At the entrance on the Carnarvon Road (中文 : 加拏分道) side, there is a photo spot and a small plaza, where "squid stalls" were set up.
Get an admission ticket and join in!
To participate in the "ikas stall," all you have to do is receive an admission ticket.
When you tell the receptionist that you want to participate, the staff will give you a numbered ticket with the participation time and reception number on it.
The reception number was "8" and the time was "18:00".
Explore the "ikas stalls" before the event!
I had some time to kill before the event started, so I explored the "ikas stall. The "Ikasu Yatai" sign and lanterns in front of the stall!
The lanterns come in two patterns: squid and ika stalls.
The weapon in front of the stall is removable! Everyone was taking pictures with their weapons, so Fangler Games joined in! A quick shot with the Splash Shooter!
This is what the seating area looks like.
The chairs are lined up like cases of sake bottles. It looks just like a "food stall.
The other side is blue! So it's yellow vs. blue.
The chairs also have the words "Icas Yatai" on them!
In front of the play table
There's a play sheet for beginners to understand how to play.
Of course, the permanent controller is the Pro-Con!
On the back side of the stall...
The back of the stall is full of "Splatoon 3" and there are many Splatoon lanterns, making it feel like a festival...!
A newcomer to Splatoon 3!
Before it was time to play, I actually played Splatoon 3. The mode is Navarri Battle and we are on the blue side.
We are not only new to Splat 3, but complete beginners to Splat, but the staff was kind and courteous to beginners.
The yellow side was all set and ready to go. Lots of kids who look like they are used to playing Splat...!
The blue side is all ready and the game is about to begin!
The blue side painted relentlessly. The result of the game was...
Blue 63.5%! Yellow 12.1%! Blue won hands down. Sorry...I was a serious beginner, but the blue side seemed to have experienced players (adults)...
Survey time after the Splash3 experience!
After the experience, it was time for the questionnaire. After answering the questionnaire...
I got a Splash3 sticker! Actually, the photographer (experienced photographer) also participated and was able to get 2 stickers! Thank you!
The "Ikas Yatai" event that made me want to get my hands on Splurge 3!
I had never had the chance to actually try it, even though I had seen the Splat people enjoying playing on video streaming services and the like. However, I'm glad that I can easily participate in offline events like this, and even if I'm not sure how to play, the staff will follow up with me!
I'll definitely be buying a copy of Splat 3 with my New Year's gift! That was my report on the "Icus Stall" held at The ONE in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong!
If you are in Taiwan, you still have a chance to participate!
Although the event has ended in Hong Kong, "Unification Dream Era" in Kaohsiung, Taiwan will be held on January 20, 2023 and January 22~24, 2023, so if you have a chance to participate, please do!
