Universal Studios Japan (hereinafter referred to as USJ) will host “Halloween Horror Nights” starting Thursday, September 10, 2026.
As part of this hugely popular event, which gets scarier every year, there will also be content featuring a collaboration with Capcom’s “Resident Evil”!
So, I went to check it out early!
A spectacular collaboration between USJ, celebrating its 25th anniversary, and “Resident Evil,” celebrating its 30th anniversary!

:
Ta-da!
Starting Wednesday, September 9, 2026, USJ has begun selling grab-and-go food items in collaboration with “Resident Evil: Requiem.”
Two types of one-handed snacks!

S
The food cart in front of Space Fantasy The Ride is selling two items: the “Croissant Dog,” inspired by green herbs, and “Churitos,” inspired by Leon.

- Green Herb Recovery Croissant Dog ~Basil Sauce & Chicken~: 1,000 yen
- Leon S. Kennedy’s Bitter Chocolate Churitos: 850 yen
Special designs can be found throughout the food cart.

There are items behind Raccoon-kun...!

A hearty, one-handed meal featuring crispy croissant dough stuffed with colorful vegetables and chicken.
It has a strong aroma of tomato and cheese, giving it the feel of a casual pizza!
It’s so packed with fillings that it’s more filling than you’d expect.

When you think of theme parks, you think of churros!
Coated in super-rich, jet-black chocolate, this is the first thing you’ll want to try when you’re craving something sweet.
It wasn’t too bitter— the chocolate was just right.
Saiga NAKWow, it’s such a joyous occasion that both Resident Evil and USJ are celebrating their anniversaries!
Saiga NAKBoth the croissant dog and the churros are delicious...

What on earth is that...!?
Licker in a popcorn bucket!

And now, the "Licker Popcorn Bucket"—making its debut—is on sale!

Everyone’s childhood nightmare, Licker, has been transformed into a cute, stylized popcorn bucket.

It’s definitely a Licker—but it’s still cute.

Its shape makes it look like it could chase you anywhere on all fours.

“miso”
As a popcorn bucket, it works like this.
The flavor is miso... brain... is that what it means!?

If you sling it over your shoulder, it’s easy to eat and the “brain” opens up, but if you try to set it on the ground to eat, it takes on a pretty wild shape.

.
Licker’s muscles are abnormally developed, so he seems to be fine.

Its sharp teeth and claws are made of soft material, but its long, protruding tongue is made of an even softer material and jiggles all over the place.
Man, that’s creepy.

The Licker’s signature muscular build is also evident in its butt.
Be sure to welcome this overwhelmingly impressive Licker and show it around the park!
"Resident Evil: Requiem" – The Dive Is Insanely Scary

We also got an early preview of the new attraction , “Resident Evil: Requiem – The Dive, ” which runs from Friday, September 11, 2026, through Sunday, December 27, 2026.

The setting is the Renwood Hotel and Sanatorium.
It’s a walk-through attraction where you move forward on your own, and just like in the Resident Evil series, you’re attacked by zombies and creatures from all directions.
From the front, the back, the ceiling, and even from under your feet!?
Even the Licker—which seemed cute just a moment ago—makes an appearance with outstanding attention to detail, offering an overwhelming horror experience where the fear never lets up.
I won’t go into specifics, but I was also amazed by the sheer scale of it all.
But! We have Leon—a man we can always count on—by our side.
He’s just too cool.
“Resident Evil: Requiem – The Dive” runs from Friday, September 11, 2026, through Sunday, December 27, 2026.
Fans of the original series and USJ alike are sure to enjoy it!
