The official world tournament "Tekken World Tour 2019" for the 3D fighting game "Tekken 7", now on sale by Namco Bandai Entertainment Inc.
The "Wellplayed Challenger", an official Japanese tournament of the "Tekken World Tour 2019", will be held under the sponsorship of Wellplayed K.K. The venue of the tournament will be Osaka, Japan.
The event will be held in Osaka, Japan.
The "Wellplayed Challenger" will be held in Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, where e-sports has been on the rise with the establishment of the "Osaka eSports Study Group" and other activities.
The two-day event will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019 and Sunday, July 7, 2019.
In the "Tekken World Tour 2019", the tournament is officially recognized as a "Challenger" with the second highest points awarded in the "Tekken World Tour 2019", after the highest category "Master". The "Wellplayed Challenger" will be a great stepping stone to the Tour Finals to be held in France in December.
Benefits only available to "Wellplayed Challenger"
In addition to points awarded based on tournament results, the "Wellplayed Challenger" program also offers other benefits unique to the "Wellplayed Challenger" program.
Issuance of professional licenses
Of the top 8 players in the tournament, the "Japan eSports Pro License" issued by the Japan eSports Union (JeSU) will be issued to the player with the highest score who lives in Japan.
The following conditions must be met before the license can be issued.
1. Residents of Japan
*Foreign nationals must meet one of the following criteria
There are no work restrictions on their resident card.
Even if there are work restrictions on their resident card, they are permitted to engage in activities other than those permitted under the status of residence.
2. Does not possess a professional license
*If an awardee refuses to receive a professional license, the right to receive this award will be moved up in the order of ranking.
(Only if there is another player who meets the above conditions)
A total of 500,000 JPY in prize money
Prize money will be awarded according to the ranking of the tournament.
The winner will receive 250,000 JPY, the runner-up 130,000 JPY, the third 75,000 JPY, and the fourth 45,000 JPY, for a total prize money of 500,000 JPY.
T-shirts will be given to all participants.
All participants who pre-register and show up on the day of the event will receive an original T-shirt.
The T-shirt features a new design of "Asuka" drawn by illustrator "jb.style".
T-shirts will be handed out at the registration desk on the day of the event.

Pre-entry is required to participate.
Pre-entry on smash.gg is required to participate in the "Wellplayed Challenger".
The pre-entry period is until 23:59 on June 30, 2019.
Spectating is free, and the tournament will be streamed on twitch for those who cannot make it to the venue on the day of the event.
