For the fifth consecutive year, Taiyo Holdings Co., Ltd. is the top partner, and the total prize money is 15 million yen!
Here's a look at a joint interview held prior to the start of "SFL: Pro-JP 2025"!
This time, we are interviewing "Nagoya NTPOJA."

― Please tell us about the character you plan to use and your impressions of the new member.

KEI.B: Since Sagat will be released in August, I'll be using Sagat.
I think the public's attention was suddenly drawn to Seiya after he broke through the BEGINNING STAGE at the "6th TOPANGA Championship" the other day, but I actually found him a month or two before that.
I thought he would definitely win this year, so I scouted him. Things worked out well and we became teammates, so I'm really happy.
I'm hoping he'll make his presence known outside of SFL this year, so I'll be following him from behind (laughs).

Otani: I'm thinking of using Ryu, a character I've always liked even in SFL.
My impression of Seiya is similar to KEI.B's; when I saw him play, I thought, "I want this person to be our last member."
His play was that great. When I met him, we got along well, and I could talk to him with a sense of closeness, as if he were someone my own age.
We can have teamwork and coordination, so I have high hopes for him, and I'll be leading the charge until the end this year (laughs).
Saiga NAKMocchi: My character is Akuma.
Seiya is a very strong Chun-Li player.
I have the impression that he's a truly strong person who will get good results outside of SFL as well.
I'm looking forward to this year's SFL, and I also got to talk to him directly. He's a very refreshing person, so I want to learn from that, too (laughs).

― Please tell us about the character you plan to use and your impressions of Nagoya NTPOJA.
Seiya: The character I plan to use is Chun-Li.
Nagoya NTPOJA values Nagoya, and the members this time also have a connection to Nagoya, right?
I myself had the chance to get my pro license by winning the pro license tournament hosted by Nagoya NTPOJA, and that connection is also why I was invited to join.
I'm going to do my best with the Nagoya members.
― The rules have changed from last season, so "SFL: Pro-JP 2025" seems to be a tournament that will test the overall strength of all four members.

KEI.B: I don't think it will matter much.
However, it did happen a few times last year, where if one member couldn't play due to poor health, it would result in a forfeit.
Of course, skill is important, but I thought to myself, "I have to take good care of my health." It would be too painful to have 10 points taken away without even playing (laughs).
― What are Nagoya NTPOJA's strong points and attractions?
KEI.B: While there have been member changes on other teams, three of us are continuing from last season, so our teamwork and ability to apply what we learned from last season's reflection might be our strengths.
Seiya got his pro license at the trial tournament our team hosts, Otani and Mocchi were born in Nagoya, and I was also born and raised in Nagoya.
We're a team that really pushes Nagoya and has a strong local flavor, so I would be happy if that could be one reason for people to support us.
― What are your impressions of Division S?
KEI.B: Good 8 Squad, who won last season, is in the same division, right?
I feel like it would be a huge deal if we could beat that team. I want to keep an eye on the teams that are considered strong and think about how to beat them.
Since it's a first-to-2, I think we can win the first two matches if we can successfully read our opponents, so I want to research each individual player.

Seiya: In Victrix FAV gaming, there's Moke, who is also a Chun-Li user, and I've been taking notes from him for a while now.
Even though we use the same character, Moke's playstyle is the opposite of mine, so I have the desire to beat Victrix FAV gaming, and I want to play with my personal record in mind.

Otani: I'm paying attention to Crazy Raccoon.
The members are Dogura, Shuto, Kazunoko, and Bonchan, but Tachikawa is hiding behind the scenes (note: He was a member of Nagoya NTPOJA last season).
He helped me with a lot of things, but this time he's my enemy, so I want to keep in mind that he's in the shadows and prepare for him thoroughly.
― So you didn't send him in as a spy? (laughs)
Otani: What do you think...? (laughs)
― What about you, Mocchi?

Mocchi: I also use Akuma, so I'm wondering what will happen with Eita, Machabo, Sahara, and others who also used Akuma last season.
If they use Akuma, there are things I want to learn from them, but I also feel like I don't want to lose as someone who uses the same character, so I'm keeping an eye on those people.
Every team is full of really strong players, so as KEI.B also mentioned earlier, I think it will be very important to research each individual player, or "read the opponent," going forward. So that's what I want to work on. As for the team as a whole, I'm watching every team.
