Capcom Co., Ltd. has announced its support for victims of the Reiwa 8 Kumamoto Earthquake, which occurred on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
The company announced that it will donate 10 million yen, using proceeds from esports tournaments and other sources.

On Friday, August 7, 2026, Capcom Co., Ltd. announced that it would donate 10 million yen to Kumamoto Prefecture to aid victims of the Reiwa 8 Kumamoto Earthquake and support the restoration and reconstruction of the affected areas.
The company stated that a portion of the donation will come from proceeds from the esports tournament “Street Fighter League JAPAN 2026 Pre-Season Division Showdown,” scheduled for Monday, August 10, and Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
The “Street Fighter League JAPAN 2026 Pre-Season Division Showdown” is a tournament held as a prelude to the “Street Fighter League JAPAN 2026,” which kicks off on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
Although it takes the form of an exhibition match, the winning Division will be awarded the right to host the first round of the “Street Fighter League JAPAN 2026 Grand Finals.”
Paid viewing tickets are scheduled to be on sale until 4:00 PM on Monday, August 24, 2026, and the event will be available for on-demand viewing even after the live stream ends.
