The story of "Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation" begins when the protagonist, the child of Ortega, the brave warrior of the small country of Aliahan, is given a great mission by the King the day after celebrating their 16th birthday. The mission is to inherit the will of the late Ortega and defeat the fiend Baramos. To save the world, the protagonist then embarks on a grand adventure with their companions, aiming to defeat Baramos.
